Hello everyone! I know, haven't been updating for a while, but here I am, again, ready to share my experiences with you! I'm back in HK, where I arrived on Sat night, after quite a hectic week. Went to Paris first, where I met up with so many people, to have fun and say goodbye. Loic was the first one I met: fondue savoyarde, vin blanc, and a lot of walking in the middle of the night for a very fun Paris by night! Met up with Nico and Amelie for a last beer - and a last glimpse at Nico drunk with a couple of beers -, with Elo - see you in Beijing in a few months ;) - and with a lot of other people. I'm gonna miss Paris a lot, but I'm too excited about China to wonder if I should stay!
On Thursday, I headed to London to meet up with my bro; unfortunately lots and lots of work for him so we only had time to catch up on Friday morning. However, even if it was short, it was great so spend a few hours together!!!
My flights (London/Doha - Doha/HK) were very surprising and interesting. First note that the moron who is writing these lines, and who is always a bit nervous in a plane, had the wonderful idea to start watching United 93 on Thurs night. 10 minutes later, i gave up. Too freaky. Even when you witness the security checks at Heatrow Airport: double check, you remove your shoes, one handluggage only, no liquids, no nothing, it was crazy. During these flights, I met a guy from Cap Verde speaking fluent French and heading with his team to Macau for an Portuguese language eloquence contest. I waited 5 hours in the middle of the night in Doha airport, where I could have paid 263 USD to participate to a game where I could have won one million USD. Was it worth it, that is the question of the year. My answer is no. I took off at sunrise and saw the desert and the sea completely red - because of the sun - and foggish, that was really amazing. As you can see, wonderful, and unexpected travel.
And here I am, in HK, waiting for my visa to be done, enjoying my time with the gf, meeting up with a lot of friends, trying to sort out my professional life. All of this, my friends, is very exciting. Beijing in a few weeks, HK in a few months, I'm very lucky with the life I have, and believe me, I'm enjoying every single bit of it!!! Next step: Paulo has got his visa and his slowly heading to Beijing. C'est pour bientot...
